Meeka's book launch

A year of creative and administrative adventures culminated yesterday with Meeka's official book launch at Curator's Collective in Melbourne.

High winds were blowing as we arrived at the cottage-cafe by a lake. However, by the time we'd strung up inflatable letters spelling 'Meeka' and laid out books, library bags, colouring in pages, champagne glasses and other goodies, the sun was shining.

The launch was attended by a wonderful array of friends and supporters who helped Meeka take flight via our Pozible project. With their help, we were able to print the book beautifully and secure a major distributor to help Meeka wing his way into stores very shortly - something we were delighted to announce at the launch.

Celebrations continued throughout the afternoon with a delicious array of nibbles (including fairy bread - which Meeka was particularly excited about) and a very fancy cake, thanks to the folk at Curator's Collective.

Thank you to everyone who made this event such a special celebration.
